Brittany Murphy was born in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S. on November 10th 1977. She started training in acting, singing, and dancing at the age of 4.
Brittany landed her first job in Hollywood when she was 13, starring as Brenda Drexell in the series Drexell's Class. She also starred on many popular television shows at the time, such as Party of Five, Boy Meets World, and Sister, Sister. Brittany's first major film role was in her second feature film Clueless (1995) along with Alicia Silverstone. She was also in Freeway (1996) with Reese Witherspoon, Bongwater (1998), Girl, Inturrupted (1999) with Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie, Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999), 8 Mile (2002), Spun (2002), Uptown Girls (2003), Just Married (2003), Little Black Book (2004), and Sin City (2005). She also voiced the character Luanne Platter on the animated sit-com King of The Hill for the entirety of the show's run from 1997 to 2009.
